Message currently at the end of the R&D phase of having his trans modified to support repeated 700h.p. runs. He had his converter's stall upped to 4000 and it is still tight. My (second hand) info on Level Ten is that they are legends in their own minds and don't put out a product worthy of their (very high) pricing. Some of the members of the forum have used their products with varying degrees of success, and lack of it. I know for a fact that Greg's converter is a nice piece of work and has stood up to about 100 launches and partial passes, while he's been getting the tranny to work. This on a TDO-5 powered engine. As Rain stated, and as far as I know, the only other gearing available is to do the NA to TT swap. You could give Nismo a call and see if they carry any aftermarket ring and pinion options. You have an excellent idea to improve your launches and 1/8 or 1/4 mile times. One other company to check with would be Precision Industries: phone #800 649-7866 or tech dept. @ 901 466-0267, they make a quality converter with a high performance lock-up feature, therefore getting rid of the parasitic loss of the converter (about 7%) while racing. Man, I'm long-winded! Good luck, Mark
